At certain places, is required the control of a fluid level inside a tank, while the engine that pumps this fluid is far away. In this cases a wired solution results extremely expensive.
Besides, the tank emplacement does not have access to electricity, so that a system with a standalone power source and low power consumption is required.
Modemsys© has developed a "Machine-to-machine" (M2M) system consisting of a transmiter and a receiver.
The transmitter controls the tank level and notifies such information to the receiver which controls the filling pump, turning it on/off.
The transmitter is powered by a solar panel and/or a battery. It is installed inside an enclosure with IP65 protection and has a very low consumption.
To increase the security and control in the system, the user can configure both transmitter and receiver for sending SMS to he/she whenever an action is performed or a problem is detected.
The system is totally autonomous, configurable and works through phone calls, but without picking up the call; there is not call charge.
In many animal farms it is necessary to maintain very stable environmental conditions within a strict temperature range. If an error occurs in the ventilation system or if the main power supply fails, the result can be the death of the animals inside the farm.
Our M2M device monitors that the power supply voltage at the installation is correct and that the levels measured by a temperature and humidity sensor (0..10V or 4..20mA) are inside the thresholds set by the user.
The system is very easy to set up or reconfigure with a simple SMS.
There are companies with a large number of worldwide sales points that require the reading of the consumption information of certain machines installed in those stores and then send it to a main server.
This server must be integrated with the ERP billing system of the company to ease the management.
Modemsys© has designed a GPRS customized device (later upgraded to add WiFi support) which was integrated with the hardware of the machine and a web server linked to the ERP billing system of the client company.
With both designs we get a system that performs daily readouts of the information from all the worldwide machines. This information is sent to the web server where it is processed and is made available to the company's ERP billing system.
These data allow the company headquarters to generate an automated bill to each sale point with huge cost savings.
It is necessary to perform controls of clearance height in the tunnels of high
mountain roads to activate a CCTV recording system placed far away of the sensors.
The wired solution would require the excavation of a ditch of several
kilometers resulting in a huge cost.
We designed a GSM-based system consisting of a transmitter and a receiver, which turn the recording system on in case of any incident, without any additional cost.
The devices have digital inputs and relay outputs allowing to operate in each case.
Besides, these devices send a notification by SMS in case of power supply failure of the own device and/or of the CCTV.
The goal of this project is to increase the wine quality by reducing the use of pesticides and other chemicals, and to predict and prevent possible diseases in the grapevines based on the environmental conditions and the state of the other vineyards in the region.
It also has to reduce the amount of water used to irrigate the plants and the environmental impact.
To achieve these ambitious goals Modemsys© undertook the design and manufacturing of a GPRS Data-logger capable of performing the following functions:
The device has very low power consumption and its powered by small solar panels. The Big-Data platform gets these large amounts of data and after being processed with complex algorithms, the clean information is sent to the farmers.
This information allows them to optimize irrigation, determine the perfect time for each stage of the crop, and foresee frosts, pests and diseases, etc.
In the process of conservation and transportation of perishable foods is vital not to break the cold chain.
If a minimum temperature is not ensured throughout all the process, the result wolud be the withdrawal of the products from the market.
Using a M2M platform from Modemsys©, the users can schedule SMS alerts and/or calls to up to 16 recipients in case of a cold machine malfunction.
The system controls the room temperature with a probe from -50°C to 0°C
and issues the relevant notifications.
The user can know the temperature of the products in real time with a status request through SMS.
Likewise, the device warns of any power supply failure in the chiller.
With the application of the normative EN 81-28 which regulates the essential safety requirements for Lifts, many of our clients asked us to develop a device enabling them to comply with those rules.
Summarizing, this normative stablished how must the alarm systems be for all type of lifts in its design and operation.
To attend this need, we design, develop and manufacture an alarm device for lifts which performs automatic phone calls in accordance with the normative and allows our customers an easy installation and integration with any elevator model.
In this way, anyone trapped due to a supposed malfunction of the elevator, can make a call to the rescue service just by pushing a button, like in a mobile phone.
